Dear Mr. and Mrs. Pulido:

I am writing to thank Mrs.Pulido for calling us yesterday evening and for the
mature way in which you are accepting responsibility for the accident.  I had
written a rather harsh letter which I will no longer have to send.  We are
indeed sorry that you have had so much trouble.

Fortunately, neither my wife nor I were seriously hurt altho we both have sore
"whip-lash" necks.  The damage to our car was rather extensive, and I expect
that the cost of repairing it will be beyond your means.  We are, accordingly,
willing to accept a token payment as I outlined to you yesterday.   Please
make your check payable to Bernice D. Samuel and mail it to the above address.
